The Village of Evendale
Special Council Meeting
April 28, 2005
The Village of Evendale held a Special Council Meeting at 6:00 April 28, 2005. The meeting was called to order by Vice Mayor Catherine Hartman. Upon roll call, the following members were present: Mr. Chris Schaefer, Mrs. Carolyn Smiley-Robertson, Mrs. Catherine Hartman, and Mr. Stiney Vonderhaar. Mr. Bill Puthoff Jr. and Mr. Jeff Albrinck were absent and excused. Also present was: Assistant to the Mayor, Jack Cameron. Jack Cameron filled in for Village Clerk who was absent and excused.
Vice Mayor Catherine Hartman presented Ordinance 05-14, ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACQUIRE ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE OF EVENDALE, THE PROPERTY AT 3047 INWOOD DRIVE OWNED BY BRUCE T. KOEHN TRUSTEE, (THE CLARA J. SANDY LIVING TRUST) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Vice Mayor Hartman stated that this was the third reading of Ordinance 05-14 and asked for a motion to read the ordinance by title only. A motion to read Ordinance 05-14 by title only was made by Mr. Vonderhaar, seconded by Mr. Schaefer and unanimously approved on roll call. There was no discussion on the ordinance. A motion to adopt Ordinance 05-14 was made by Mrs. Smiley-Robertson, seconded by Mr. Vonderhaar and unanimously approved on roll call. Vice Mayor Hartman declared Ordinance 05-14 adopted and stated that it would go into effect in thirty days.
There was some discussion on the Trosset Property located at 3680 Glendale-Milford Road that was donated by Ruth and Stan Trosset to the Cincinnati Nature Center in 1997. Since the CNC transferred Gorman Heritage Farm to the Village of Evendale in 2003 they have limited use for the Trosset property and CNC is proposing transferring the property to the Gorman Heritage Farm Foundation for interns/farmers to use as a residence.
There being no further business to come before council, Vice Mayor Hartman asked for a motion to adjourn. A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Vonderhaar, seconded by Mrs. Smiley-Robertson and unanimously approved. Council adjourned at 6:08 pm.
